Not every student can afford to pay for college tuition fees without some form of financial aid. The cost of education keeps increasing and students need to look for scholarships to help them with their financial burdens.

Thanks to the generosity of many private companies and institutions, these weird scholarships are created to make it possible for many aspiring students to pay for their college and achieve their educational goals. On this page, we have put together a list of crazy and unique scholarships. Some of them might sound very wacky and strange. Others might seem very odd and random.

Why Do These Scholarships Sound Unusual and Odd?

The conventional scholarships are given by school, college or the government and they normally require you to meet certain criteria such as having high GPAs score or some athletic ability. However, this is not the case for weird scholarships.

The scholarships are provided by private companies and website owners. Their goal is also to promote their company while giving out scholarships. This is why they require you to write an essay or create a video related to their product or service or the industry they are actively involved.

Apply For Weird ScholarshipsFor example: A skin care company might have a scholarship called “Better Skin Vitamins Award”, which might ask you to write an essay about “How Using Vitamins Help You Improve Your Skin”. Another example can be a law firm’s scholarship “Personal Injuries Scholar Award” which might ask you to create a video about “How Having The Right Attorney Can Help You Maximize Your Claim”.

The award is usually less than $5,000 and these are very easy scholarships to apply for because they don’t require certain academic level or athletic abilities and not many people know about this. We hope this will help you with your college tuition bills.
